Nicki Sebastian is an LA-based photographer who has been professionally documenting life, love and levity for the past twelve years.

Before diving into full-time photography over a decade ago, Nicki’s penchant for human connection, kiddos, and all things visual and creative led her to various roles in early education and the New York art world. But ultimately it was image-making that stole her heart, and she eventually found herself with camera in hand, combining her greatest loves into one livelihood.

Years later, in 2021, Nicki was diagnosed with leukemia and she found herself at a significant turning point in her life and career. While undergoing cancer treatment, Nicki promised herself that, if given the opportunity to work as a photographer again, she would make it her life's work to share with others the beauty she sees in our everyday existence through a slower and more intentional medium: film.

Today, Nicki is actively fulfilling those personal dreams and creating imagery for families and brands with a renewed perspective that has allowed her to see to the core of her subjects and extract the glimmers, no matter the circumstances. When Nicki’s not stopping mid-sentence to point out a magnificent cloud or beautiful bloom, she finds herself reveling in the joy of raising two precocious girls with her husband Roni, lacing up her running shoes for a neighborhood jog, or lounging with her two overly-coddled cats.
